What is different about the NC State University Professional Management Series?

This new series of workshops, offered by NC State University’s Office of Professional Development, is designed to help you refine your skills and business practices with up-to-the-minute concepts and innovative approaches. Our program is comprised of a powerful and integrated curriculum of interactive two-day workshops that will enhance your personal effectiveness in any organization. This curriculum will show you how to apply effective skills and strategies to achieve both personal and organizational performance excellence. The series consists of eight interrelated but distinctly different workshops. These are stand-alone workshops that can be taken separately but become a highly effective series when taken together.

Over the course of this integrated curriculum you will learn how to:

• Achieve high levels of sustainable effectiveness, persuade others and build consensus
• Gain the basic financial skills you need to communicate effectively and make sound business decisions
• Utilize the key elements necessary to create and maintain a high-performance mentality and process throughout your organization
• Get the most out of your personal approach and clarify your vision of management
• Develop a highly effective coaching and mentoring action plan that creates a culture of optimum engagement
• Recognize and assess complex issues, develop plans, resolve problems and implement the best choices
